Back at it!

Hello everyone,

I am getting back into full swing with racing again and I have never felt better! With my ProCaliber.com bike, my great support system and sponsors under me I am able to make it to the races. I couldn't be happier with my team and how I have been riding!

I raced the first and second round of the NorthWest National Mx series out at Horn Rapids on March 2nd and 3rd. I prepared myself as well as I could in between working full time at ProCaliber Motorsports in Longview! Race day rolled around and I was very anxious to get out on the track since it was two years ago since I raced there. The last time was when I had my shoulder injury. I battled with some mental games, but got it out of my system after my first practice.  It was race time and some nerves came upon me once the 30 second board turned sideways. I made sure I rode my race confident and as smooth as I could with all the nerves and adredaline rushing through me.

As the checkered flag came out I was the first to cross it, I was very excited and proud of myself. As the first day of round one ended I finished the day with two firsts place with a smile! Day two of racing started out with a bang, women's moto being the first moto of the day. The track was very slick and rough from the previous day which made it very difficult to ride. I was third into the second corner which isn't where I wantd to be. A few corners later I realized my clutch was out which made it difficult to gain power on the girls in front of me. In three laps I managed to work my way up and make the pass for first right before the finish line. It was an exciting race, but I needed to get my clutch fixed before my next moto. Thanks to my awesome mechanic he put a new clutch in swiftly and had plenty of time before my next race. Moto two rolled around for the Women's class and I was off out front, exactly where I wanted to be! I finished the day with another first overall in the Women's A class. After my race I was able to get an interview and got to be up on the podium! It was such a cool experience to be able to thank all my sponsors for all their support loud and clear on the podium. It was a great way to wrap up the weekend. I am looking forward to rounds three and four!

I also send out my thoughts and prayers to Torri Thomas and her family who had a really bad wreck on Sunday during her race.

Big thanks to my Sponsors!

Hello everyone,

I am back with great news! I recently received a bike from ProCaliber.com. I now have a brand new CRF 250R 2013! I am very pleased with my new ride. My new Honda feels great under me and I couldn't be happier with my switch from Kawasaki's to Honda's.

Now that I am back on the bike and going to be racing competitively locally as much as possible, I got in contact with my sponsors who currently supported me. Being that I have been out of the game for over a year I wasn't expecting all my sponsors to step up like they did. The responses I got were nothing less than amazing! They were all so thrilled to see me back on the bike again and so willing to help me out. With that said, DeVol Engineering hooked it up and got my suspension dialed in quickly and efficiently as always. Fusion Graphix also set me up with a new look for my Honda and they are an awesome look for the upcoming race year! These two companies are easy to work with and get the job done, very professional and willing to work with anyone.

This whole experience showed me that my sponsors have my back and will bend over backwards to help me out! I am pumped to get back on the track and represent all my current sponsors. All of you are so great to me. I cant thank you enough for your support and I cant wait to represent you out on the track!

Thanks again,

Thursday Night Motocross - Race For A Cure

Welcome back,

This week I raced Thursday Night Motocross, Race For A Cure to support the great cause. It was my first time I was able to make it out there this year and it was a great success.

My grandpa who was my number one fan passed away the night before my race. He was so excited and eager to watch me race at PIR and to see me on a bike again. My family and I are so sad by the great loss of my grandpa, he always at every one of my races possible. So that night I went out there with an excessive meaning to my races that night. I rode my heart out for him and I ended up getting 1st place in the Women's Expert class and 6th in the BTH Amateur class. I felt confident and focused, knowing that tonight I was racing my heart out for him. My whole family came out that night because they knew that's what my grandpa would have wanted. It was a very emotional night for my family and I but I couldn't think of a better way to come back into the scene, with passion and determination.

I am already looking forward to my next race!

Keep checking back :)

My first race back in 2012

Hello everyone,
This past weekend I raced at Straddleline ORV for the first time in over a year. This was possible because Procaliber.com supplied a bike for me. I was so happy to be able to race again and get some gate drops under me this year!

I raced the 450 BTH  class which is the intermediate men's class age group on a 250f. I placed 4th overall in that class. It felt so great to be on the bike and still be able to represent ProCaliber! Plus the track conditions were great. It rained a little in the morning but it made it perfect for a day of racing. Straddlelines crew has worked so hard to get the track where it is today and it shows! There were great ruts forming and the dirt was tacky, making it easy to go fast without hesitation. I had a blast out there and I can't wait to get back out there on the track and do it again!

I am planning on making it to TNMX Breast Cancer race this Thursday in Portland! Hopefully I will do well for my second race back this year! Hope to see you out there.
Thank you for tuning in. Keep checking back!

Procaliber.com

Hello Everyone,

I am writing today to inform you that I am now back on the bike. It has been almost a full year since I've had my own bike and it’s been over a year since I've competed.

This time off the bike has allowed me grow in more ways than I thought possible. With time to focus on me and my personal growth, I have gained knowledge in other aspects of life that I wouldn't change. I have also grown more love and respect the amazing opportunity I have been given. It means so much to be coming back into the amazing sport of motocross. I have had my time off from my strict training on a day to day basis and now feel refreshed, mentally prepared and eager as ever.

This second chance at my dream and my number one passion wouldn't be possible without the support of Procaliber.com and Travis Richards. He is taking a chance on me and helping me out this year and hopefully more years to come. I currently work for Procaliber.com, but I am grateful and honored to ride for them as well. I look forward to representing Procaliber.com and making them proud on and off the track!

I will see you at the track! Keep checking in for more blog posts and race stats.

Thank you for your support.

Back in business :)

Hello everybody,
I have been back on the bike for about two months now and I couldn't have asked for a more successful recovery. I have full movement in my shoulder and it can handle pretty much anything out on the track now, which makes me very happy! I'm back to the race pace, but I am continually working on getting faster and stronger out there. Enough about me though, I wanted to give a shout out to everyone that has helped me stay positive and get me back to 100 percent again.

The long road to Recovery.

Hello my followers. :)

As you know, this season has had a rough start but I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Its been a little over two months since my surgery on my shoulder and things are looking up. I have been working with my personal trainer for almost a month now, and I am in my second week of physical therapy. My shoulder is finally getting strong, but not yet just strong enough to handle the impact of jumps and bumps. I am ready to go in about three weeks! I am so ready to be back at the track and ride my motorcycle.
See you all soon,

Positive Thoughts. :)
