Off Season

Well since its the off season I have been trying to continually go to the gym everyday and working out at home. And trying to ride everywhere I can! I ended up winning Top Gun Team Shootout in September, with a consistency of 2nd every moto. Unfortunately it rained all three days so we had to run the GP course..not to much fun. But overall I won Top Gun. Also I won the P.R.O series. which is the pacific northwest nationals! I am planning on going to California to train for a couple of weeks in December. Also I am hoping I can do a couple races at Honey Lake to get ready for the Loretta Lynn Regional, already!

Loretta Lynn's Comes down to an end

When racing started I was really nervous seeing all the top women riders in the nation!!

The first day of racing everything bad went wrong. The night before my race there were tornado warnings, lighting, and it rained a couple of inches! The next day on the track I got a flat tire, a horrible start, a bad gate pick, a mud race, and I fell! So i finished 26th out of 42 women. I defiantly wasn't looking forward to that position. My second moto I finished 23rd after another fall and a bad start. I passed 17 girls to get in that spot! What I was really proud of was my last moto. I really hung it out, I jumped everything. And my lap times were only about 10 seconds slower then the fastest pros there! Oh and not to mention I pushed myself so hard I got heat stroke and was starting to pass out right when I got off the track and was rushed to the river to cool down and get water in me. It was defiantly a scary thing not being able to walk and black out! It was about 93 degrees out plus 90% humidity. It was knarly out there! So overall I finished 23rd overall. So now I can say I am top 2.5% in the nation in the women's class! I can't wait for next year! I am looking for a top 10 or better!

I also want to thank EVERYONE who donated so I could race the biggest race in my racing career!

Practice Week Begins!

Hello Everyone! I've been here a week so far and have been having lots of fun! Lorretta's ranch is huge and has lots to do. There's horses, a post office, recording studio, river, and waterfall. I've been spending my time swimming, catching turtles and connecting with friends.

This week is practice week. I'm trying to stay focused and am exercising everyday. Today is my first practice, which starts at 5pm. Each practice is 20 minutes long, so that should give me a good amount of time to get used to the track. I walked it yesterday and it looks like it'll be fun! Oh- I also got my number for the race, it's #57. Everyone gets a number for the race.

I don't have internet or phone service (unless I hike up a hill) so the blog posts will be sporadic, but I will try to keep you updated!

Thanks for all your support!

We are in Missouri right now!
We will arrive at Hurricane Mills tomorrow morning! I'm so excited!

Back from nationals

Well I was lucky enough to go to Hangtown in Sacramento, CA and race one of the rounds of the outdoor nationals. I got 7th overall out of 26 girls. Once again I didn't have the best of luck, but 7th is pretty good for my first national. I knew I could have done better because my lap times were in the top 4 spots. While I was there I got to meet alot of the fastest guys and girl riders. Which was amazing! Take a look in my photos! :] Watching the fastest guys and girls in the U.S. I defiantly know what I have to work on now! I'll be at Washougal MX for the next couple weekends racing. Hopefully see you around!

Update

So lately I haven't been posting blogs, sorry!
I have been up to a lot. I recently went to Vegas, For the World Minis Grand Prix! Its the second largest amateur event in the world. I took 9th overall, which I wasn't so happy about. I had bad luck in Vegas. I got bad starts, and stalled my bike when I was in 5th. I knew I could have gotten top 5. But oh well! I picked up a new sponsor, FMF when I was down in Vegas. So i am happy about that! :] Now all I've been doing is going to the gym about everyday, and training for the LLQ. (Loretta Lynn Qualifier) At Washougal! We are trying to also hit up Glen Helen and Hangtown for the WMA rounds.
Well see you around!

Once Again, I'm in So. Cal

Well once again I am in Southern California hittin' up all the good tracks, for some intense training for about a week or so. I'm down here not only just to get faster, but to hopefully to pick up the pace in my riding so I can win the P.R.O series, which is where you will find me racing till the end of June. I will be racing all over Washington until then. Well keep checking back!

I'm Home

I'm currently at home training off the bike. I'm going to the gym three times a week. And working with a personal trainer. I am trying to get in my best shape for the outdoor season so I can run at the top of the pack in the Women's B class at all the national races. I am wishing for a successful 09 season!

Training in So Cal

Since i could not make it to the WMA CUP in Texas due to the 26 inches of snow at my house i am taking a trip to california to make up for the race i couldn't go to. So now i am in Southern California training with my mechanic Jeff. We have been going to a lot of different tracks, been riding everyday, and training hard. Its been a blast so far, and i'll be down here for about another week or more, about two weeks all together. It's been a safe, and sucessful trip! I'm getting ready for the national's at lake whitney and oak hill, so im training on and off the track so i can place at the top. Keep checking back! :]
