Loretta Lynn's Comes down to an end

When racing started I was really nervous seeing all the top women riders in the nation!!

The first day of racing everything bad went wrong. The night before my race there were tornado warnings, lighting, and it rained a couple of inches! The next day on the track I got a flat tire, a horrible start, a bad gate pick, a mud race, and I fell! So i finished 26th out of 42 women. I defiantly wasn't looking forward to that position. My second moto I finished 23rd after another fall and a bad start. I passed 17 girls to get in that spot! What I was really proud of was my last moto. I really hung it out, I jumped everything. And my lap times were only about 10 seconds slower then the fastest pros there! Oh and not to mention I pushed myself so hard I got heat stroke and was starting to pass out right when I got off the track and was rushed to the river to cool down and get water in me. It was defiantly a scary thing not being able to walk and black out! It was about 93 degrees out plus 90% humidity. It was knarly out there! So overall I finished 23rd overall. So now I can say I am top 2.5% in the nation in the women's class! I can't wait for next year! I am looking for a top 10 or better!

I also want to thank EVERYONE who donated so I could race the biggest race in my racing career!

Keep checking back!

Practice Week Begins!

Hello Everyone! I've been here a week so far and have been having lots of fun! Lorretta's ranch is huge and has lots to do. There's horses, a post office, recording studio, river, and waterfall. I've been spending my time swimming, catching turtles and connecting with friends.

This week is practice week. I'm trying to stay focused and am exercising everyday. Today is my first practice, which starts at 5pm. Each practice is 20 minutes long, so that should give me a good amount of time to get used to the track. I walked it yesterday and it looks like it'll be fun! Oh- I also got my number for the race, it's #57. Everyone gets a number for the race.

I don't have internet or phone service (unless I hike up a hill) so the blog posts will be sporadic, but I will try to keep you updated!

Thanks for all your support!
